- The most common weeds seen in this district are, spurge, thistle, dandelion, scutch, nettles, and hemlock. The spurge grows in arable land. It is said that the milky juice which is in it will cure warts. The thistle grows in dry places. There is a cure in the thistle for a disease called pestilence. If any person ate the hemlock it would poison them. Hemlock poisons rabbits also. Scutch is a weed that grows in every of land.
