    They then decided to burn the house.
    At this time every house was thatched even two storey houses.
    In those days there were no matches so the White Feet that were working at Mahons went in for a burning sod of turf.

    When he saw them burning his house he fired and wounded one of them on the shoulder hey fled but the wounded man was found by the Police.
    He was examined by a doctor found some No 3. shot in his shoulder.
    He was tried + Paddy Brennan stated the shot he fired at the man burning his house was the same number.
    The White Foot was convicted to Prison. Paddy Brennan had a farm in Corebally and used to be visiting it frequently.
    They were continually giving him trouble.
