principal games played, "loorabug laurabug", "cock in the corner," and "giving out the ring".
The local children play "loorabug laurabug" by assembling together round the fireside. One child stands before the rest and repeats a certain rhyme on the children's feet. The child on whom the last word of the rhyme falls has to repeat it and so the game continues. "Cock in the corner" is played in a similar way.
My companions and I have spent many pleasant hours playing these games and they are very amusing.
