Mrs Mary Mc Loughlin 80 years now dead told me the following story.
She said one night her son was coming home from a fair. As he was coming along the road he came to a small little bush, and under it he saw a little man fixing boots.
The little man told him that if he gave him a penny he would change it into a lump of gold, and that he would never be poor again. The boy have him a penny and the little man told him to look at the lovely lady by his side. The boy looked and when he looked again the man was gone.
