  2. There is a story told about a woman, who used be seen near the Abbey Gate about a mile to the west of Bantry and this is it.
    This woman used to be seen every night. But, the people took no notice of her because they thouht she was a real woman but she was not. At that time the most of the people travelled on horse-back and they met the woman. When one of the horses noticed her, he began to jump. Then
