- 191There are many traditional cures in use still. I will now write down some traditional cures, which I got from my grandmother. Warts
It is said that forge water is a cure for warts. Some girls say that if you counted the number of warts in your hands and put the same number of stones into a bag as the warts, and throw the bag on the road, that the first person to pick up the bag would take the warts. Burns
If a person gets burned a raw potato is put on to the burn and this is a cure. It is said that a dock root is a cure for a burn from a nettle.(continues on next page)- Collector
