And nimbly catch the uncautious flies.
    The glowworm innumerous and bright.
Illumed the dewy dwell last night.
At dusk the squallid toad was seen.
Hopping and crawling o'er the green.
The whirling wind the dust obeys.
And in its rapid eddy plays.
The frog has changed his yellow vest.
And in a russet coat is dressed.
Though June the air is cold and still.
The mellow blackbirds voice is shrill.
My dog so altered in his taste.
Quite mutton bones and grass to feast,
And see yon rook how odd their flight.
    They imitate the gliding Kite.
With head downward seem to fall.
As If they felt the pierching ball.
T'will surely rain I see with sorrow.
