- There are some monuments in this district. There is a stone on the side of the road near Inchinattin cross roads. It is said that there was a priest killed on the road near this stone. The name of this priest was Fr. O’Keeffe. He was Catholic Curate of this parish. He was afterwards buried in Bealad Church. It is said that he was visiting a sick person in Soroo. He was riding a horse, and the horse took fright and the priest was thrown off and killed at the spot. This happened about a hundred years ago. There is writing on this stone. Long ago stones were put in places where there was any person killed or where any accident happened.
