  1. There are several old customs connected with funerals in this part of the country. The morning the funeral takes place the neighbours come to the house if the corpse is there and if it is the church they go there. If a person comes a long distance, he usually gets a cup of tea.
    Before the dead person is coffined all the friends stand near the bed and they (ologon) Then two or three boys bring in the coffin. The head is faced in the door first. It is left on the ground near the bed, and the dead person is carefully placed in it.
