- The fair filed in the barony of Killenmakery got its name from a fair that was held in that field long ago. There used to be sports there also and faction fights. The Mac Carthy Morras, the Donovan Shana[?] and the Galvin Masteens were the faction fighters. There used to be a fair there a couple of times a year.
Lizer's hill in the townland of Mossgrove got its name form a man that was living there long ago names Lizer.
Next to Bogra Cross there is a field called the Inch field. At the end of the field three baronies and three parishes meet- the baronies of Killenmakery, Templemartin and Murragh. A small stream flow out of each of the baronies and there is a cure in the waters where the three streams meet.
