  2. Whiddy Island, though little as it is, has a great number of famous people. Some were famous for their strength, others for boxing, hurling, jumping, for weight throwing, farming, fishing, and swimming.
    Some were famous all over Ireland and others were famous only in Whiddy.
    A man named Willie Cleary was famous all over Ireland for weight-throwing and boxing. He
