   Long ago in Skeahanore there lived an old man who worked very hard. One evening when he returned home from work he wanted to have a smoke but he had no tobacco. He said he would go the Ballydehob for some while his daughter was preparing the supper. The village was only about a mile away from him and as he lived near the water's edge he could easily travel a path at the edge of the water.
