- It is said that when a horse get a gripe if a cord is knotted over the horse nine times and if it is then opened each time. If it fails to open the cord any time the horse will not be cured.
- Whooping Cough is cured by giving a drink of milk from which a ferret has drunk. If a child suffering from Whooping Cough is put under the stomach of a mare donkey 3 times, it will cure the cough.
