  1. There are five graveyards in the parish of Inniscarra. One in Matehy, another in South Kilmurry, two in Inniscarra, a Protestant one, and a Catholic one, and another still in Carrigrohane on the banks of the Lee. All are still in use except the Protestant one in Inniscarra which is rarely used. The graveyard in Matehy is nearly round in shape.
    All the graveyards except one, contain a ruined Church, and this one which is in Kilmurry is said to have contained one also which is now ruined to such an extent that it cannot be seen at all.
    There are various kinds of trees growing in Matehy churchyard, including, yew, ash, ivy and drooping willow. Some of the local families go to
