- (continued from previous page)AB represents the line where players stand and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, the other tories. Dislodging any tory outside the circumference of the circle counts as five. Removing the centre one, or king, in similar fashion means ten. An expert player may make thirty with his three throws, knocking numbers 1, 3, 5 (see diagram page 112) in one throw and 2 and 4 in his other attempts. Such luck is rare.
The game is usually for 100 or 200 and is sometimes played for stakes. Either children or adults may take part. - Buz is one of those games which sometimes starts slowly but which quickly work up into a splendid roar of merriment and excitement.
The players sit in a circle around the room, and each has to call out a number in rotation, but in place of seven or a multiple of seven, the word "buz" must be said.
