a man into the river and all the men started to bead Cronen. the field was often covered with blood and some men often got seriously hurt. A match was begun at Jack Murphy's leap and the ball stayed nearly all day in one field and finally the ball went into an old man's cabbage haggard. The old man came out to hunt the hurlers out, and he nearly go killed himself. An old survivor of the Scuábín matches is Mr Philip Nunan of Moygue Liscarroll, who played many a match of it and was a famous athlete and has many valuable trophies.
