Nearly two-hundred years ago Owen Roe O'Sullivan worked for a farmer in this district. The famer's name was Seán Roe Hasset.This farmer had a foxy sow and there was a Cromwellian in the neighbourhood named Norket who had a famous imported red boar.The farmer said to Owen that he would ask Norket for the service of the boar but he feared that perhaps he would shoot him. In those days the Catholics were very much oppressed.Owen said that it would be all right and that he would take the sow.
