    when the potatoes are over ground. In Autumn the potatoes are ploughed out and are picked by the owner, his workmen, and the neighbours who help them.
    Potatoes are stored in pits which are made by a spade. These spades are bought in the shops. The local names of potatoes are, British Queens, Irish Queens, Champions, Brown Blacks, Golden Wonders, Epicures, and Dates.
