    horses are lying in the middle of a field, is the sign of fine weather coming.
    To see the Spider coming out of his webb is the sign of rain. If the flies are very numerous on a fine day it is the sign of bad weather. A lot of flies together is the sign of rainy weather. Crickets chirping behind the fire at night is the sign of rainy weather.
    If the smoke seen to curl down the chimney is the sign of bad weather. When the smoke goes up straight is the sign of fine weather When there is a blue blaze in the fire it is the sign of fine weather, or when there are a lot of sparks on the kettle is the sign of rainy weather. When it rains down the chimney it is the sign of very heavy rain and a storm.
