    Animals sold are marked by cutting hair with scissors on hind quarters. Poorer farmers draw their blackthorns in the mud and place it on the side or flank. The halter is kept by seller.
    In Glanworth all animals, sheep horses cattle pigs were sold at fair. In Fermoy at present separate days are for cattle and sheep, for pigs and for horses.
