He was drawing them away when a member of the Oliver family came home, and did not like to see the little church being felled. He went to great trouble to get the history of the little church, and proved to the Church Commission the tower was not theirs to sell, but of the people of Rockmills who built it. The removing of the stones ceased, the tower was saved and stands today.Kildorrery GraveyardThe Kildorrery graveyard is situated at the Feroy side of Kildorrery at the outskirts of the village. The entrance is by an iron gate. It is sloped towards the south. The graves are not laid in any order. It is surrounded by high walls. It is oblong in shape. There are old crosses, monuments, and tombs, dated as far back as 1830 and 1892.There is a ruined church in(continues on next page)
