- There are very few tailors in this district. They work at their homes but in former times they used travel from house to house when required. The cloth is woven in a mill in Kilworth.
The tailors use a needle and scissors at their work. Shirts were made by the people themselves long ago and there was a blind woman in this district and people used come from all round to here to make shirts. Socks and stockings were also made locally long ago and the thread used was spun in the homes. Black clothes are worn on the death of a relative.- Collector
