    The landlords were descended from Cromwell's soldiers. In this parish the landlords were:-
    Perrott of Castlelyons, Co. Cork.
    Peard of Coole, Castlelyons, Co. Cork.
    Harrry Dwyer of Kilcor, Castlelyons, Co. Cork.
    Woods of Cork was landlord of Corrin, Ballyoran Glenarouske, Kilcruig
    George Pyne of Ballyvolane, Castlelyons.
    Harry Dwyer was the worst of them. He was under police protection for a long time
