    Brenan on the moor, etc.
    As Brenan from the mountain side
    One day was coming down,
    He met the Mayor of Cashel

    The mayor he knew his features -
    'I think, young man' says he

    You must come along with me'
    Brenan on the moor, etc.
    Now Brenan's wife had gone to town
    Provisions for to buy,
    And when she saw her Willie
    She began to wail and cry;
    'Give me'. said he, 'that tenpenny
    And as soon as Willie spoke
    She handed him a blunderbuss,
    From underneath her cloak'
    Brenan on the moor, etc.
