    these schools were between 70 and 80 pupils. This school was shut down being to small, the new school was built in 1888.
    The old school was closed for a number of years, then opened for the young men's society and cooking and Irish classes. It was opened by Father Crowley, C.C. for a dance hall and reading room, and during the great war the volunteers held their meetings in it.
