- (continued from previous page)these schools were between 70 and 80 pupils. This school was shut down being to small, the new school was built in 1888.
The old school was closed for a number of years, then opened for the young men's society and cooking and Irish classes. It was opened by Father Crowley, C.C. for a dance hall and reading room, and during the great war the volunteers held their meetings in it.- Collector
