- Ghost stories and stories about the "Headless Coach" were very common here about 70[?] years ago. The old people who told them are now dead. A common story also was "Jacky the Lantern" (Will-o-the-wisp).
- I have heard this one. There were two farmers living side by side - one had a large farm and the other a small one. The large farmer with 20 or 30 cows could make no butter no matter how long he kept churning. While the other with 2 cows could make 40 or 50 lbs per week and the farmer's wife could be seen going to market on Saturdays with the large Roll.
The farms where this took place are situated in a placed called Lahard, near Guileen.
