    Once upon a time there lived in the neighbourhood of Ballyandreen a giant by the name of Geany...

    to mark the spot. Thus having disguised the hiding place as a grave he sailed away but being captured at sea was put to death and never returned to Ballygeany. For over a hundred years the field has been known locally as the "Black Mans Grave" and the roughly cut stone has been a well known sight in the neighborhood. A few years a go some people spent a lot of time digging for the treasure but failed to locate it. It is supposed that one of the parties that will find it must die.
