  1. The pattern day is the 9th of September. Long ago there used be cábáin and sports there. Dancing etc. used be carried on that day. A woman washed clothes in it and it dried for three years. The parish priest of Ardagh brought the water back again there. It is in the townland of Coolcappa. White-thorn trees grow near the well. It is a good piece in from the road. The water from the well is reputed to remain fresh for years. The well is circular in shape.
