- When St Ita became a nun she came to Killeedy. She had a convent and church on the farm. The St. had another farm in Tournafulla. She kept a little donkey of which she was very fond.
One day as the animal was travelling from the outside farm to Killeedy he had to pass through Tournafulla. Some boys came out and set the dogs on him. He ran accross the fields towards a river. In crossing the river he jumped on to a rock in the middle of it. When he came home he was bleeding and the St. cursed the boys. The print of the donkey's hooves are still to be seen.
On another occasion as the donkey was coming from the outside farm a thorn stuck on his hoof. After some time he grew lame. The St. examined his hooves and she found the thorn. She set the thorn and it grew up a white-thorn tree and its thorns grow downwards.(continues on next page)- Collector
