  1. The patron saint of our parish is St. Bartholomew and the local church is dedicated to him. There is another church not in our parish now dedicated to him.
    There is not much history to be got about his life, and there are no blessed wells called after him.
    His grave is unknown and there is no day marked to honour him in our parish.
    There is much a better history attached to St. Benchert of Tullylease, whose feast day is on February.
    There are two holy wells in that parish and people pay rounds at them and they say a rosary at each well.
    These holy wells are famous for cures of any kind of sickness. The name of the
