That is a feat of horsemanship which takes some beating.Another feat was that of a young man who walked from Colemanswell to Cork and back. A distance of about seventy five miles in nine hours. It happened this way. The young man was chosen to play in a football match between Colemanswell and Garryfine. His people did not want him to play as he very rarely played in a match without causing a row. So they hit on the idea of sending him to Cork, thereby rendering it impossible for him to be at the match at the appointed time. He left for Cork at 5 a.m. and was back in Colemanswell at 2 p.m. just a few(continues on next page)
