  1. There was a young man whose name was James Houlihan of Kilmacow. He won many prizes for Pole Jumping. He was able to jump a gate 8 feet high with ease. He also used to jump 8 feet in length. He practiced every evening.
    John, Pat and Joe Leahy were famous jumpers around Colmaris Well. Pat Leahy held the world's record for High Jumping. He was able to jump 6 ft . 4 ins high some thirty years ago, while his two brothers were next best after him.
