  1. Potatoes are grown in my farm at home. About an acre and a quarter of land under them. The servant boy Ned Mc Sweeney, Greenville, Listowel, Co Kerry prepares the ground for them. The potatoes are manured by potato manure and farm manure. We set them in drills. With a plough and horses they are opened. The drills for the potatoes are opened by ploughing the ground twice, harrowing it, opening the drills with a plough and spreading the farm manure. The potatoes are then spread. The potatoe manure is shaken on the top of the potatoes and lastly they
