    Dandelion
    the dandelion is a yellow plant which grows frequently in this district. From this a drink is made which is good for stomach complaints.
    Milk-Weed
    This plant grows in most potato gardens and the juice, which is like milk in appearance is used for curing warts and corns.
    Dock Leaves
    Grow on "waste" land and are applied to nettle "stings".
    Elder Leavers
    The elder tree grows beside most old houses. The explanation for this is that long ago elder berries were used for dying purposes and for convenience sake everybody had an elder tree near the house. Now the leaves are used for drawing inflamed cuts and thorns which cannot be taken out with a needle.
    Nettles
    Grow in most "waste" land. They are often boiled and eaten by the people because the a said to be very good for the blood. It is commonly believed in this district that if a person eats three feeds of
