  1. The names of the local roads are, The Old Road, The Black road, The sand road, the new line and the Caol road. The old road leads from Houndscourt to Ballydonoghue. The Black road, leads from the back lodge to Ardpatrick. The Sand road leads from the top of the wall down to Monine. The New line leads from the lodge down to the cross of Ballydonoghue. The Keale road is a very narrow road. The Keale road leads from Keanes cross to Ballyorgan. Some of these roads were made as relief work for poor men during the famine times.
