That died in Manchester in days of old
And dear Captain Crowley we'll ne'er see you more.
In Kilclooney's lone wood where our brave heroes stoodTo the world he now bid adieu
He struggled in vain to break slavery's chain
That hereo both loyal and true.He fought all the day and kept a sharp eye
Not knowing the moment on the field he would dieCrowley got wounded by a ball in the leg
He jumped in the trench o he fought in the mud

When he fired on young Crowley the officer criedCrowley looked on him with a scornful frown
