- 18. The Black DogThere is a well situated at the foot of Knockaney Hill. One night a man was driving a horse past the well. The horse got a fright, and the man saw a black dog coming towards him. The man drove the horse faster but the dog kept up with him. The man drove on till he came to Bottomstown Cross. There the dog disappeared.Told by Liam Morgan.
