- There is a gate in Farname called Filnagow, but commonly known as blarke's Gate. A black dog used to be seen there in the olden days. He used to walk so many yards after every passer-by and then return back to the gate. Scores of people saw him and got very frightened. He haunted the gate for many years. People got masses said and he disappeared. When old Mrs. Clarke, who is now dead, used to be out late at night this black dog always conveyed her home and then returned back to the gate.
