    on the ground. As he was getting up he noticed a piece of paper near by, and on examination he read "The sword that will kill the dragon is inside the monastery". He went inside and began searching. He found it after a time, and then went forth to meet the dragon. A fierce battle insued in which the dragon was killed. He cut out the dragon's tougue. This done he laid down to rest and fell into a deep slumber.
    Another soldier in the army growing jealous of his fellow companion went up to the (???) and finding him slumbering wounded him seriously. He then cut the dragon's head off to take to the king to show that it was himself that killed the dragon, and set off for the king's castle for his reward.
    After a time the other soldier regained consciousness, and set off to have his wounds
