    About six miles from Carrig there is a little place titled "Lismacrory" or the "lis" of the son of Rory. In ancient times the place was prominen as a scene of many crimes. During a certain period when the "priest hunting" was in sway, many priests were massacred under the roof of a massive building but now it is there standing solitary and in ruins.
    Once when a priest was being hanged, he prophesied that it would be the home of the rooks. Later when another priest was caught saying Mass on the land he was captured. His freedom would be granted if ten
