- When the sky is clear and blue it is a sign of fine weather. If the sun shines out late in the morning it is a sign of fine weather.
When the stars are shining very brightly it is a sign of hard frost. When the clouds are of a dark copped colour in the evening it is a sign that rain is near, If a rainbow appears in the West when the sun is setting it is a sign of showery weather. It is an old saying that "a wet Friday means a Wet Sunday" and such happens very often.
When the robin - red - breast comes into the house it is a sign that we are near hard weather.
