    Returning, the enraged animal thrashed at the whitethorn and tore it up by the roots carrying it away on his horns to some unknown destination.
    In the morning the hole was found filled up, with the grass growing on it just as any other part of the field.
    The quest now ceased, as there was no landmark to guide them to the spot since the bull removed the whitethorn tree. In the district the old people always called him "Tarbh a Caisleáin" when speaking of the bull in English
