- (continued from previous page)gripped him as his horse approached the lake but right into the air he leapt in one great bounce and just given a couple of shakes of his head as if in satisfaction the grey horse landed on the other side then turned around and faced the lake again to watch the others swimming across towards them. The other came shore in one straight line and raising the hands cheered for Foxy and his grey horse again and again. Foxy became so excite that he lost control of himself and forgetting his warning stood on the stirrups and cheered in return but immediately he felt a terrible bump on his head and found himself rolling down the side of the cliff to the lake but he was saved by a big rock which barred his way to the waters. He stood up in a few minutes but only to see all the fairies mounted and looking sorrowfully towards him then right about turn and away. The grey horse died. Poor Foxy was all next day making his way to Limerick and all the(continues on next page)
