Once upon a time there was a woman and she had a girl servant. One Sunday the woman went to Mass and she put down a plum pudding in a pot on the fire and she told the girl to watch it while she was going to Mass. The girl fell asleep at the fire and when she woke up she saw that the bottom was burnt out of the pot and the plum pudding was gone and there was nothing left but the cloth that it was in. She took the cloth and ran to the chapel. The woman was making signs at her to say nothing.(continues on next page)
