    He put the princess into a beautiful coach that he found in the giant's coach-house and drove away. As they went along the road was getting nicer and the country brighter. They came to another castle nicer than the first and, like before, he went in and found the second princess knitting in one of the rooms. Jack saw that she was far more beautiful than the first. When the giant came the dogs tore him in pieces without any help. They continued their journey until they came to a beautiful valley. Flowers and trees grew all over the place. In this valley there stood a fine castle. It was even nicer than the king's palace. A big giant stood in the door. He waved to them to come up, but the princessess would not go and they told Jack to beware. Jack went up, and the giant was all smiles and says "Tis I that is proud to see a man from Ireland and now come on in till you get something to eat." Jack went in and he having the three dogs tied up. The giant went over to a safe and three black men jumped out and began to lay the table with food fit for a prince. Jack hung up his sword and began to eat. When they had eaten enough Jack was thirsty. The giant called an old woman and told her to bring the wine. When she was gone a long time the giant took down a mirror and in it Jack saw
