Naomh Sionán
St Senan's father who lived in Moloughna in Knockerra was a man that used have alot of tillage.One Sunday when the corn about ripe,he told his son to stay at home and to keep the crows away from the corn.When the father went to Mass his son gathered all the crows and locked them up in a cabin,and went to Mass.After Mass he made no delay but hurried home .However the father saw him at Mass and when he came home he gave his son a good beating for not taking care of the corn.When the father was finished beating ,his son told him he had beaten him wrongfully because he had put all the crows in the cabin.His father went out and opened the cabin door and immediately all the crows flew out .Then he was sorry for what he had done .
Next day his mare and foal broke out of the land and he sent his on after them.They were running so fast that he could not keep up to them so he prayed that(continues on next page)- Collector
