    to go on a journey on Friday and always to begin the Harvest and Spring work on Tuesday or Friday.
    When Christmas Day fell on a Friday it was unlucky to marry on the Fridays of that year because those who married were said to be very cross as Friday is the Cross Day. There were also special days of the week considered lucky or unlucky and people went by the following rhyme.-
    "Monday for wealth,
    Tuesday for health,
    Wednesday the best day of all.
    Thursday for losses,
    Friday for crosses,
    And Saturday no luck at all"
    People never gave away on May Day, especially money because if they did their money also was taken from them by others.People too skimmed a neighbours well and milked his cows on May morning.The
