from Kilmaley .His cousin Dan Maley lives in Gurtaganniv at the present day)edited by Clare portion of the Monaasticon Hibernian for Cardinal Moran as editor in chief ,then Bishop of Ossory. He speaks about the Abbey of Ennis ,the ruins of the parish churches of Drumcliff, Doora and Kilbrackane -all of undoubted antiquity ,but not a word about Kilmaley.Máille ws no doubt somebody of importance ,but there is also Templemaley near Ennis called after him.It is to be feared however however that he had no biographer .Ennis is in the Barony of Islands(Úi Chormaic)and so is Kilmaley ,and the baronies show even now the old tribal settlements-a modern barony representing a Tuath presided over by a Righ-Tuatha or pretty king. Therefore probably Drumcliff and Kilmaley were founded about the same time by the same people who founded Doora and Kilbrickane.
