    St John's Holy well is south of the abbey and is the venue of an Annual Pilgrimage on June the 24thy and a lot of cures took place there.
    There are many particular cures of which the old people talk about and this is one.
    There was once a woman by the name of Mrs O Brien a native of the Parish, who had crutches for years. she performed the rounds and kept the Vigil for three nights at St John's well after which she walked perfectly home after that leaving the crutches
