Churning.
We have a dash churn at home.It is forty inches tall and forty two inches wide at the top and forty four inches wide at the bottom.The sides of the churn are round .it is four years old .There is a mark on the top of the churn and another one in the cover to fit it about six inches down in the churn.
Butter is made once a week in Winter and twice in Summer.The various parts of the churn are the churn staff ,the lid and the churn cup.When a churn is being made and if a stranger comes in they usually help at the work .It is said that they take the butter with them if they go out without making a bit of it.
